Five Berry Italian Beef Sandwich

Ingredients
Cooking Time: 15-20 Mins
For the Spicy Jam Gravy:
2 tbsp Auntie Rana’s Smoked Chili Oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup beef broth
Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Sandwich:
400–500g sliced deli roast beef (thinly sliced, good quality)
4–6 crusty sandwich rolls or hoagie buns
Butter for toasting
4–6 tsp Auntie Rana’s Five Berry Spiced Jam
Sliced provolone or mozzarella
Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (optional)

Cooking Directions
For the Sauce:
Heat the Oil: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Sauté the Onions and Garlic: Add onions and garlic, then sauté until softened and golden, about 6–8 minutes.
Add Auntie Rana’s Smoked Chili Oil: Stir in Auntie Rana’s Smoked Chili Oil and cook for 1 more minute.
Simmer the Broth: Pour in beef broth, season with salt and pepper, and let simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Add the Roast Beef: Add sliced roast beef directly into the sauce and let it heat through for 3–5 minutes.
Assembly Instructions:
Toast the Rolls: Split and lightly butter the rolls, then toast them until golden and crisp.
Prepare the Jam: Spread 1 tsp of Auntie Rana’s Five Berry Spiced Jam on the top half of each bun.
Heat the Beef: Pile the hot roast beef and spicy onion gravy mixture onto the bottom half of the buns.
Add Cheese:Top with sliced provolone or mozzarella and broil open-faced for 1–2 minutes until melted.
Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley or basil. Press, slice, and serve hot.
